WELCOME BACK!!

My name is Ashley Melvin. I teach 3rd grade special education and I am excited to start the 2015-2016 school year. It's going to be a great year!

Upcoming important dates:

September 7th- No School

September 8th- Begin normal dismissal schedule

September 18th- Midterm and 1:15 dismissal

September 25th- Homecoming parade and 1:15 dismissal

A little bit about myself:

I am beginning my 7th year at FIS. Before teaching in West Frankfort, I taught for 5 years in Marion. Since I grew up in West Frankfort, I was very excited to move districts. I absolutely love nurturing and teaching students. I love to watch them grow.
