Please allow me to introduce myself!
My name is Crissy Rains and I am a Special Education Teacher working with social, emotional and behavioral students at Frankfort Intermediate School, third through sixth grade. This is my twenty-seventh year in education, as well as my specialty field, and I love it more now than the day I began this journey! I have had the pleasure of working with students from Kindergarten through Senior level and feel this has aided in expanding my knowledge in this fascinating and critical field of work.
As well as teaching in District #168, I have made my home in West Frankfort. I have two beautiful daughters that are my pride and joy. Daily, they remind me that I am not just the teacher, but the student as well, as I continue to learn so much in their maturation and growth.
Prior to moving to West Frankfort, I grew up and proudly lived as a Wildcat in Marion, Illinois. I surrendered the blue and gold and now display red, gray and white with pride for our beloved Redbirds.
In July of 2021, I will be marrying my special someone, on the beach!! Thereafter, and after twenty eight years of teaching, my name will be Mrs. Wall! Exciting times lie ahead!!
