As previously advertised, the Frankfort Community Unit School District #168 Board of Education will hold a Public Hearing at 5:50 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, in the Library at Central Junior High School, located at 1600 East Ninth Street in West Frankfort.
Following the Public Hearing, the monthly Regular Meeting of the Frankfort CUSD #168 Board of Education will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, in the Library at Central Junior High School, located at 1600 East Ninth Street in West Frankfort.
As noted in the previously published legal advertisement, the purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell (i) general obligation bonds in the amount of $9,000,000 for the purpose of increasing the working cash fund of the District, (ii) alternate revenue bonds in the amount of $15,000,000 for the purpose of replacing, altering, renovating, repairing, building and equipping a high school building, demolishing a portion of the existing high school building, and improving the sites thereof and (iii) alternate revenue bonds in the amount of $3,000,000 for the purpose of acquiring land and altering, repairing and equipping school buildings and facilities and improving the sites thereof.
