Thanks to some additional sharp-eyed proofreaders, there is an August 12 update to the Parent-Student Handbook that is now posted on the District's websites. There were no policy changes, just some clean up of some grammar and wording. Thanks for those who have read and assisted us in this project.

All school buses should now be on their way home as it was a little slow going on this first day of school. Bus and car traffic should smooth out the next few days as everyone gets used to the new routine and we work to keep traffic moving on the side streets around the schools. Please remember to not leave our cars unattended in the loading zones. We will see you all tomorrow.

As we welcome students back on Tuesday morning, please be aware that the required Parent-Student Handbook acknowledgement form will be made available through the TeacherEase App on Tuesday. Your principals will be sending that reminder out in the morning. We look forward to a good start to the 2025-2026 School Year.

The 2025-2026 Parent-Student Handbook has been posted on each of our school district's homepage. The link is located on a button below the pictures. Students will receive an acknowledgment form when they begin that parents and guardians will need to sign. We are looking forward to a good school year as we welcome our students back. https://www.wfschools.org/.

As we prepare to welcome teachers on Monday and students on Tuesday morning, we thank the West Frankfort Street Department for helping to keep our students safe by touching up the paint on crosswalks leading to our schools. Be sure to look both ways when you are walking or driving so that everyone stays safe throughout this school year..

The 3rd Annual Back 2 School Bash is this Saturday, August 9th. This FREE event is open to any school-age child in CUSD #168 who is REGISTERED by August 8th!! If you have not yet registered your child for school, please contact the office staff of your child’s school to do so today.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE
For those wishing to utilize the front lot for dropping off and/or picking up your student(s), please note that the traffic flow is being reversed. Instead of immediately turning left upon entering the parking lot, which caused you to cross oncoming traffic, you are asked to keep right and follow the path marked with arrows. We are hopeful that this will cause a smoother traffic flow and increased safety for all!
