The 3rd Annual Back 2 School Bash is this Saturday, August 9th. This FREE event is open to any school-age child in CUSD #168 who is REGISTERED by August 8th!! If you have not yet registered your child for school, please contact the office staff of your child’s school to do so today.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE
For those wishing to utilize the front lot for dropping off and/or picking up your student(s), please note that the traffic flow is being reversed. Instead of immediately turning left upon entering the parking lot, which caused you to cross oncoming traffic, you are asked to keep right and follow the path marked with arrows. We are hopeful that this will cause a smoother traffic flow and increased safety for all!

Our schools remain some of the strongest and safest facilities in the community and we continue to work to keep our students safe.

Here is a schedule of events for FIS for the month of May.

FIS has celebrated Autism Acceptance month all month long! This initiative was spearheaded by a group of our fantastic special education teachers and it has brought such a unifying light into the building over the recent weeks! We hope that you follow our students' lead and choose to not only accept, but celebrate, all kinds of minds! 🧩💙

Congratulations to Mrs. Jena Yadro for being selected as the Teacher of the Month at FIS! Mrs. Yadro is a staple at FIS and a teacher that students, past and present, will always remember fondly. She has a passion for teaching and deep love and respect for her students and colleagues. We are so lucky to have you in our village and your honor is well-deserved! Congratulations again, Mrs. Yadro!

On Friday, CTE students from FCHS visiting the SIU campus were able to surprise FCHS alum Dr. Bob Gower and his wife Beth as the ribbon was cut on the Gower Translational Research Center.
