Santa's Kottage

Picture Retake Day

Yesterday’s Amazon Day of Giving brought so much joy to our students that we just have to share a few more photos of all the excitement! Their smiles say it all, what an unforgettable day!

FIS is beyond THANKFUL for the opportunity to host yesterday’s Amazon Day of Giving. We owe a huge Redbird thank you to the 4 Good Community School Outreach Program for their generosity and kindness. This event was the perfect way to kick off Thanksgiving Break!

Doors will open at 3pm.

Our village showed up BIG today at FIS! Thank you to all the retired teachers and paraprofessionals, school board members, police officers, firefighters, and the dedicated FIS and CJHS staff who helped make tomorrow’s event possible. Today was a true demonstration of what a caring community can do when we come together providing students with valuable resources and modeling generosity for the students of District #168.

EARLY OUT Tuesday @ 2:20pm

The setup has begun for the Amazon Day of Giving. FIS and CJHS staff setup 65 tables after school today. Thank you to our rock star staff for all your teamwork and muscles. We are ready for the semi truck of 1500 items Monday morning.

We are extending the deadline by just a few days, so if you have not returned a signed permission slip for your child to participate in our Amazon Day of Giving, please do so ASAP! Extra copies of the permission slip are available from your child's teacher or the FIS office.
Early Dismissal @ 2:20pm

You don't want to miss out on Amazon Donation Day! Please get those permission slips turned in by tomorrow. If you need an extra copy of the permission slip ask your teacher or pick one up in the office.

We've got some BIG and exciting news to share with the students, parents, and the community.

No School Tuesday, November 11- Veteran's Day

Congratulations to Mrs. Katie Caraway for being selected as the Employee of the Month at Frankfort Intermediate School! Mrs. Caraway is a genuinely warm and wonderful person who often works behind the scenes, with little to no wanted recognition, to help her students and her building be the best version possible. We thank you for all you do here at FIS, Mrs. Caraway! Congratulations on an honor that is well deserved!

Wear your purple for Youth Homeless Awareness on Thursday, November 6!

November is Homeless Youth Awareness month. We will "Paint the Town Purple" during the first week of the month. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for which day to wear your purple for awareness.

The Computer Lab at FIS turned into a haunted house this week as we worked in a group to increase our vocabulary and worked together on activities to solve puzzles.
